Below you will find some information about the various platforms we use and guidelines that may help you to decide if the measures we and they have in place are acceptable to you before you use our services.

1. We use permission based email marketing. Beginning in 2023, our sign-up forms and landing pages for this email-based/newsletter process are hosted by Convert Kit. We generally ask for your email and first name, which allows us to personalize correspondence to you. Many of the sign up forms offer an incentive for joining (a free lesson, for example). Immediately after signing up, you will be asked a second time to opt in to our mailing list. If you agree to receive content from us, but over time find that the content we provide no longer suits your needs or interests, you can stop receiving the newsletter by clicking the opt out link at the bottom of the email.

2. By the way, with respect to your email: We appreciate the trust you place in us when you share your email and agree to accept correspondence from us. We will respect your privacy, and will keep your contact information private.

3. This website is built and hosted with SquareSpace. They use cookies (little bits of code placed on your browser) to help websites run more effectively, so you (the visitor) will have a good experience, and to provide business owner with analytics that help give a clear sense of where their audience is coming from and how they are interacting with the site. Much of this happens under the hood, as it were, and while we trust the measures SquareSpace has put in place to help both you and us, we encourage you to use due diligence. 4. In addition to SquareSpace, we use several different companies to process payments for products and services you can purchase through our Website. When you initiate a purchase, you leave our site and go to theirs. In 2023 we primarily use Stripe, which integrates both with our website and Convert Kit. [NOTE: In past years we have used Dwolla, Gumroad, Atavist and Nimbit. Some of these sites may still be active, but are slowly being phased out.] These companies collect and process your credit card information and protect your financial information according to their terms of service. Please consult their Websites for further information. 

5. More on mailing lists, beyond the sign-up forms mentioned in number 1 above. We add you to our mailing list when you enroll in a course or private lesson series, purchase a digital download, or sign-up for our newsletter. We presently use two services: Mail Chimp and Convert Kit for newsletter correspondence. We respect your privacy and will not sell or share your contact information.You have the ability to opt out of these mailings at any time by clicking the opt-out link at the bottom of the newsletter.

6. We will contact you through our regular business email for private correspondence, related to private lessons or other inquiries. You agree to accept any private correspondence from us while you are registered for or participating in a workshop or a private lessons series with us, or if you send us correspondence related to a digital download. These emails will have various prefixes but end with: @kinestheticedge.com

7. We found this statement on our website hosting platform’s (Square Space) Cookie Page, and wanted to call your attention to the two links, which may be of interest: "You can set your browser to not accept cookies, but this may limit your ability to use the Services. We currently don’t respond to DNT:1 signals from browsers visiting our Services.
